Casa Battagliola stands on three hectares in Casta, at the southern edge of the Désert des Agriates. From the estate, the view opens uninterrupted across the desert, the Cap Corse coastline, and the sea. No neighbouring property is visible. The first thing you notice is the silence.
THE AGRIATES
A protected desert running to the sea
The Désert des Agriates is a protected natural area between Saint-Florent and the Ostriconi river — granite hills, maquis and a coastline of empty beaches. No towns, no through roads.
Casa Battagliola sits at its southern edge, where the desert meets the cultivated land of the Nebbio.
THE COAST
Four wild beaches to the north
North of the property, the coast of the Agriates unfolds — four beaches strung along a shoreline with no road and no town. Saleccia and Lotu, the largest, lie just 11 kilometres from the estate. Ghignu and Fiume Santu, deeper in the desert, are quieter still.

SAINT-FLORENT & PATRIMONIO
The harbour and the vineyards next door
Saint-Florent — fifteen minutes from the property — is the harbour town of northern Corsica, with a working marina, a Genoese citadel, and a string of restaurants along the quay.
Just beyond, the Patrimonio wine country begins — Corsica's oldest AOC vineyard, twenty-five minutes from the house.

Arrival
The property is accessible year-round by car. A vehicle is essential for the duration of your stay — most destinations within the region are between 15 and 30 minutes away. Private parking is available on site.
